In a lucky conversation with George Roberts of Bandit Blades I asked if he ever made snow chisels. He told me that he had considered making them for another team. I said we were interested in having him make some for us. So over the course of several months we talked about design and materials. Each time George was adding a new chisel to the mix. Flat chisels, curved chisels...narrow, and wide. Then he began to work. He called in wood turning specialist Al Varishine to make the handles and Leather specialist Moe G. to do the scabbards. In the end we had seven chisels that were created in Bandits high end style. I was getting worried about just how much this collaboration of the three professionals was going to cost our team, however, the tools were stunning. Five of the Chisels were crafted out of Surgical Steel and two were made from Titanium that George got from NASA and the shuttle project. One and the same metal. These two special light weight tools he made specially for Michael and Donald. He put our names on them. In the end, George, Al, and Moe presented the tools to us as a group sponsor.
